How to install a Claude Code plugin

  1. Add the marketplace

    /plugin marketplace add owner/repo

Run it once for the repository that lists the plugin. The listing page links that repository.

  2. Install the plugin

    /plugin install plugin-name@marketplace-name

Claude Code opens the plugin panel on that plugin. Read it before you choose a scope, because a plugin can run hooks and MCP servers.

  3. Use it

Skills, subagents, commands, hooks and MCP servers from the plugin are available once it is enabled. Each kind page says how to use its own.

These steps are the pattern for a plugin listed in a marketplace. Each Flowy listing shows the install its own repository documents.

What is the Claude Code marketplace on Flowy?

Flowy is a free index of Claude Code plugins, built by crawling public GitHub repositories. Each plugin lists the skills, subagents, commands, hooks and MCP servers inside it. Pick a kind below to see the top rows, how that kind installs and where to browse all of it.

Reading and installing are free. The only things sold are labelled placements.

Questions

Is Flowy a marketplace I add to Claude Code?

No. Flowy is a directory that points at the GitHub repositories and marketplaces that hold the plugins. You add those inside Claude Code, and each listing page shows the repository to use.

What can I find on a Claude Code marketplace?

Plugins, and everything a plugin can ship: skills, subagents, slash commands, hooks and MCP servers. Flowy gives each of those kinds its own page.

Where do the rows on these pages come from?

From the same index as the browse pages. The counts and the rankings are read when the page is built and again every day, and none of them is typed in.

Does Flowy check that a plugin is safe?

No. Flowy does not audit, test or certify the code of a plugin. Every listing links its source repository so you can audit it, and Claude Code shows an install panel before it enables a plugin.

What does auto-invoked mean on a card?

The plugin carries a Flowy overlay: a hook that keeps a routing table in context so the right skill is more likely to fire as you prompt. It is a label for how the plugin is wired, not a rating.

Do Claude Code plugins work in Cursor or Codex?

Not as is. GitHub Copilot CLI reads .claude-plugin/marketplace.json, but Codex and Cursor do not take a Claude Code plugin as is. Their skills and MCP servers do work there: Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode and Windsurf each read SKILL.md skills and run MCP servers. Flowy has not tested plugins in other agents.

What is the difference between a plugin, a skill and an MCP server?

A skill is a SKILL.md file that teaches Claude one task. An MCP server is a program that gives Claude tools to call. A plugin is the package around them: one repository can bundle skills, subagents, slash commands, hooks and MCP servers, and Claude Code enables them together.

Is Flowy free?

Free to read and install. The only things sold are placements, and each one is labelled as paid.

Built a plugin?

Publish it on GitHub and the crawler finds it. Or send the repository yourself.
