Choose Tuist to understand and reduce build and test work across local developers, CI, and agents. Optimize the project first, then its execution environment. Its [build-output cache](/marketing-markdown/cache) follows compatible inputs across those environments without requiring Tuist Runners or a compute migration.
Both offer ways to avoid repeated work. Namespace's [GitHub Actions caching guide](https://namespace.so/docs/solutions/github-actions/caching) describes runner-attached NVMe Cache Volumes, an Actions-cache option, and an artifacts option. Its volume integrations cover container images, checkouts, toolchain downloads, actions, and build systems including Gradle and Bazel. It is not accurate to describe Namespace as only faster hardware.
Namespace also documents a separate [Bazel remote cache and remote execution service](https://namespace.so/docs/bazel). Its cache shares action results across local, CI, and Devbox builds, including GitHub-hosted runners; caching can be configured without remote execution. Runner independence and local Bazel reuse are therefore not unique to Tuist. Its remote execution runs actions on Namespace workers; Tuist's Bazel cache does not provide that execution service.
Tuist's [Cache](/marketing-markdown/cache) reuses toolchain-keyed build outputs, while optional [runner cache volumes](/en/docs-markdown/guides/features/runners/cache-volumes) persist selected directories. Build-output caching and directory persistence solve different problems; Tuist offers both too.
| Decision | Tuist | Namespace evidence to evaluate | | --- | --- | --- | | Build-output reuse outside the runner fleet | Tuist Cache serves compatible developer, CI, and agent builds through regional endpoints independently of Tuist Runners. | Cache Volumes attach storage to Namespace runners, but its separate Bazel remote cache supports local builds and external CI. Compare the specific integration; not all Namespace caches are runner-bound. | | Execute Bazel actions remotely | Tuist's Bazel cache reuses outputs; it does not execute actions remotely. | Namespace offers remote execution as well as caching, with separate worker and platform configuration. | | Avoid expensive downloads during CI setup | Tuist Runners have separate cache volumes and a colocated build cache, subject to invitation. | Namespace documents local NVMe volumes and caching for checkouts, toolchains, actions, and container images. | | Share state between jobs | Use the build system's artifact keys or runner volume configuration as appropriate. | Namespace documents custom volume tags for sharing across profiles and repositories, with branch and job write controls. | | Explain a slow build or flaky test | Tuist exposes toolchain-specific [build insights](/en/docs-markdown/guides/features/build-insights), [test history](/marketing-markdown/tests), and [MCP tools](/en/docs-markdown/guides/features/agentic-coding/mcp). | Inspect the evidence available for your specific toolchain, not just job duration; the caching guide is not an audit of Namespace's observability or agent features. | | Inspect implementation and follow fixes | Tuist publishes [source](https://github.com/tuist/tuist), [issues](https://github.com/tuist/tuist/issues), and [changes](https://github.com/tuist/tuist/pulls). | Ask which components are public and what can be inspected or contributed to. A public integration action alone does not establish the licensing of the hosted service. |
You want to adopt a supported Tuist integration and investigate project work across Gradle, Bazel, Elixir, or Xcode without changing CI. Compatible output reuse beyond CI matters, but Namespace's Bazel cache supports that too; compare the exact toolchain and diagnostic records rather than treating runner independence as an exclusive advantage. You want to investigate Xcode build steps and cache tasks, Gradle tasks and transforms, Bazel execution evidence, or test attempts through authorized [MCP access](/en/docs-markdown/guides/features/agentic-coding/mcp). You value public implementation and the ability to participate in fixes.
Start with the [slow-build guide](/marketing-markdown/solutions/slow-builds), then test one supported integration on your existing machines. Generated projects are not required for Xcode compilation caching or most server capabilities; they are required for module caching and selective testing.
Keep the current runner configuration and enable a supported [Tuist Cache integration](/marketing-markdown/cache) for one representative workflow. Compare job setup, compilation, transfers, retries, and total machine-minutes before and after adoption. Build compatible inputs on a developer or agent machine to test cross-environment reuse, and use [Build Insights](/en/docs-markdown/guides/features/build-insights) to inspect the change. Configure trusted cache producers and readers before widening access.

No performance benchmark or price comparison is established here. A volume cache and a remote build-artifact cache cannot be compared by hit rate alone. Input compatibility, trust policy, locality, and workload determine reuse. Toolchain s
