The [longevity manifesto](/marketing-markdown/source/longevity), published in February 2024, states that Tuist GmbH, a Berlin company, owns the Tuist trademark and provides core contributors. It describes the CLI as MIT-licensed and the server as FCL-1.0-MIT-licensed. If Tuist GmbH ever discontinues support for the Tuist repositories, the manifesto commits to relicensing the server under a permissive license and transferring repository ownership to the top contributors at that time.
The server license itself also grants an MIT license for each released version two years after it is made available, independent of that contingency.
The manifesto is a statement of intent. It is not an uptime SLA, a source-code escrow, or a guarantee of indefinite hosted service. Contractual obligations come from your agreement, and present licensing from the repository's license files.
