Check 1 — PA Error Traps
**PA1001 — Colon/Hash in single-line expression:** Scan every property line in the YAML. If a property value is on the same line as the property name (not using `|-`) AND the value contains `:` or `#`, flag it:

**PA2101 — Control: Screen:** If `Control: Screen` appears anywhere, flag it:

**PA2108 — Invalid property combos:** Cross-reference Section C of `reference/controls-reference.md`. For each control in the YAML, check its `Control:` type against the trap table. If a forbidden property is present, flag it:
PA2108: [controlName] — [PropertyName] is not valid on [Control: type]
Line [N]: Default: ="value" on TextInput@0.0.54 (use Classic/TextInput@2.3.2 instead)
**PA2109s — Invalid GroupContainer variant:** If a `GroupContainer@1.5.0` uses `Variant: Horizontal`, `Variant: Vertical`, or `Variant: GridLayout`, flag it:

Use Variant: AutoLayout and set LayoutDirection accordingly.
**PA2105 — Potentially outdated versions:** If any control uses a version string that looks outdated (e.g., you know a newer version exists from your training), flag as a warning only:

Check 3 — Fidelity to Design Spec
**Color fidelity:** For every `Fill:`, `Color:`, `BorderColor:`, `HoverFill:`, `PressedFill:`, `DisabledFill:` property in the YAML, check it against the COLORS section of the Design Spec. Every color value must match a color defined in the spec for the same role.
Flag mismatches:

**Size fidelity:** For static `Width:` and `Height:` values (not formulas like `=Parent.Width`), check them against the MEASUREMENTS section of the Design Spec. Allow ±4px tolerance for values derived from calculations.

Check 5 — Layout Anti-Patterns
These are patterns that produce no PA errors but render incorrectly at runtime.
**Anti-pattern A — SCROLL-TRAP (FillPortions=1 inside scroll container):** For every container in the YAML that has `LayoutOverflowY`, inspect its direct Children. If any direct child has `FillPortions: =1`, flag it:
SCROLL-TRAP: [childName] has FillPortions: =1 inside scroll container [parentName]
FillPortions: =1 pins child to viewport height — content is clipped, not scrolled.
Fix: change FillPortions to =0 on [childName]
**Anti-pattern B — OVERLAY-TRAP (AutoLayout container with overlay button child):** In the skeleton, controls marked `transparent overlay` require their parent to be ManualLayout. For each such control, find its parent in the YAML. If the parent has a `LayoutDirection` property (AutoLayout), flag it:
OVERLAY-TRAP: [overlayControlName]'s parent [parentName] is AutoLayout but contains a transparent overlay button
An overlay button with Height: =Parent.Height in an AutoLayout container displaces siblings to 0px.
